Annually, through Scéim na bhFoghlaimeoirí Gaeilge, the DCHG funds a Gaeltacht residency programme to enable post-primary students spend a period of one academic year, minimum, in one of three GRETB post-primary schools on the Aran Islands. These schools are Coláiste Naomh Éinne, Inis Mór; Coláiste Ghobnait, Inis Oírr and Coláiste Naomh Eoin, Inis Meáin (the three schools). This policy applies to these three island schools only.

Congratulations to TY students Sabina Rabbitte, Lauren kelly and Emily Miskella who have qualified for the Angus Beef final in croke park on March 4th. The students are one of thirty teams who have qualified for the final . The top five groups in croke park will get to rear five crossbred Angus calves for 18 months . The winning team will be judged on which group of animals reach the highest slaughter weight . The girls are busy marketing Angus beef in the run up to the final .

Congratulations to our Junior A Camogie team on becoming Connacht Champions recently. They overcame St. Brigid's Loughrea on a scoreline of 3.09 to 1.04.
Best of luck to them in their All Ireland series. They play Sacred Heart Clonakilty on the 15th of February in Clonakilty at 12.30pm. By Ms. Fiona Page Before Christmas, we welcomed back our past students who were on the victorious All Ireland winning Galway Senior Camogie panel last September, Noreen Coen, Lorraine Ryan and Leah Burke. Unfortunately Leanne Freaney was not able to join us on the day.
Ms. Mary Forde was also invited and their coaches from their time here in PCA joined them on stage Ms. Carr and Mr. Mc Gillicuddy along with Mr. Moore. We are very proud of their achievements and we were delighted to recognise them. All the camogie girls of the school were delighted to get a group picture with the girls after. By Fiona Page |
