Pupil Care

Each year group has a senior teacher – Year Head – with special responsibility for checking daily attendance, dealing with pupils referred to them, contacting parents and imposing suitable sanctions where necessary.  There is also an Academic Monitor for each year group. The student voice is heard through the Student Representative Council.  All students have an assigned Guidance Counsellor.

We regard good communication between the home and school as an integral part of our care for the pupils.   We hold annual Parent/Teacher meeting for each year group.  The Parents’ Association makes a valuable contribution to the life of the school. Our Counsellors, Pastoral Care team and Learning Support teachers do invaluable work with our students and their parents in helping, advising and answering their needs.
