Cairde Pres (friend of Pres) is a collective of past pupils, staff and friends of Presentation College Athenry. This includes you!
The 'Pres' as it is fondly referred to has had thousands of students pass through its doors since the Presentation Sisters commenced Secondary Education in 1947. The town of Athenry has benefited from decades of education where today we find three generations of the community have an association with the Pres. Past students are found all over the world. The buildings of the old school comprising of 1947 and 1981 building closed on February 14th 2019 when the school relocated to Ballygurraun.
In Cairde Pres we wish to Reach out to the diaspora of the school to provide a facility for the Cairde Pres community to connect and celebrate the wonderful years spent in the ‘Pres’.
We would like to welcome Past Students celebrating Reunions to celebrate at the new school.
Cairde Pres may play an active role in a number of key events in the college calendar, including:
